Ed Tisch, former botany professor at Peninsula College, had the dream and vision of creating an arboretum on campus that would include all the woody plants of Western Washington. He, along with the help of many others, planted what is currently the Edward L. Tisch Memorial Arboretum. It is currently maintained with the help of student and staff volunteers who care about native plants and want to know more about them. This website was created by students in Barbara Blackie’s Introduction to Botany class Spring 2015, with the help of media professor, Renne Brock-Richmond. It will continue to grow as future students (and some past students) add their work. We hope you find this web resource useful, but we REALLY hope you wander through the Arboretum and enjoy and learn about native plants.
